On Wednesday, June 17, 2025, the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with local investigators, arrested 24-year-old Malik Latrel Stafford of Louisville in connection to the fatal crash that occurred the previous day.

  • Around 3:25 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, deputies were dispatched to a serious two-vehicle crash in the 6700 block of North St. Joseph Avenue, just north of Wimberg Road  .
