Tragic Shooting Claims the Life of 31-Year-Old Qualo Trevon Danials in Charlotte, N.C.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — April 13, 2025
In the heart of Charlotte’s Central Division, tragedy struck late Saturday night when 31-year-old Qualo Trevon Danials was killed in a shooting outside the 300 block of E. Trade Street. According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD), officers responded to a call at approximately 10:30 p.m. on April 12 reporting an assault with a deadly weapon. Upon arrival, they found Danials suffering from gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical personnel immediately transported Danials to a nearby hospital, but despite their best efforts, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Authorities later confirmed his identity, and his next of kin have been notified. The investigation has been handed over to the CMPD Homicide Unit, which is currently working to gather more information and determine the circumstances surrounding this tragic death.
At this stage, law enforcement has not disclosed any information regarding a potential suspect or the motive behind the shooting. Crime Scene Search teams were on-site to gather evidence, and representatives from CMPD Operations Command, Victim Services, the Charlotte Fire Department, and MEDIC all responded to assist with the investigation.
