Tragedy in Kamm’s Corners: Man Fatally Shot, Suspect Found Dead in Apparent Murder-Suicide
CLEVELAND, OH — A quiet afternoon in Cleveland’s Kamm’s Corners neighborhood turned tragic on Wednesday when a man was fatally shot in broad daylight, prompting a swift police response that led authorities to a second, grim discovery: the suspected gunman found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The incident unfolded around 1:30 p.m. on the 15700 block of Munn Road, where Cleveland Police were dispatched following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, first responders discovered a man, believed to be in his 50s, suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite efforts from Cleveland EMS, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim pending notification of next of kin. The shooting, which took place in broad daylight in a typically quiet residential area, has sent shockwaves through the community.
Soon after the initial response, Cleveland Police located a vehicle believed to be connected to the shooting.
