Authorities in Shelby Township have confirmed that charges have been filed in connection with the fatal stabbing of a young woman outside a Meijer gas station on Hall Road Sunday evening. The suspect, identified as 25-year-old Sidney Emmanuel Davis Jr., was arraigned on first-degree premeditated murder charges at 41A District Court on Wednesday afternoon.

Police say officers were dispatched to the Meijer gas station located at 15301 Hall Road around 5 p.m. on Sunday, where they discovered a woman suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was immediately transported to a local hospital but later succumbed to her injuries.
The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office has identified the victim as 23-year-old Fatme Davis, the estranged wife of the suspect. According to investigators, the stabbing occurred during a custody exchange. Officials said the couple’s child was inside Fatme’s car at the time of the incident and may have witnessed the aftermath of the attack.

During the arraignment on Wednesday, a not guilty plea was entered on Davis Jr.’s behalf. The presiding judge denied bond, citing the severity of the allegations.
