Authorities confirmed that the victim, 35-year-old Ontario Spivey of Ruston, was found deceased at the scene when officers arrived.

According to police, officers were dispatched to the location at approximately 11:50 p.m. following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they discovered Spivey suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite emergency efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The area was immediately secured as investigators began collecting evidence, interviewing witnesses, and reviewing available surveillance footage.

Ruston Police officials stated that surveillance video from the store provided clear images of the suspect and the suspect’s vehicle, which played a crucial role in advancing the investigation within hours of the crime.
