As a State Champion linebacker and coach for St. Edward’s High School, he displayed strength, discipline, and leadership—qualities that would define him throughout his life. His passion for football was unmatched, and he could talk about the game with the insight of a seasoned coach.
His calling to serve extended beyond the field. Dillon proudly earned the title of United States Marine Infantryman, becoming a part of the 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment. In 2021, he deployed to Kabul, Afghanistan, where he played a critical role in Operation Allies Refuge, saving hundreds of lives during one of the most challenging missions in modern military history. To his fellow Marines, he was known as “Frank” or “Frank the Tank”, a name that spoke to his unyielding spirit and unmatched dedication.
