PCSO Identifies Victim Recovered from Hill Lake on August 26
The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division has released the identity of the woman whose body was recovered from Hill Lake on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.
The victim has been identified as Sara Murphy, 28, of Quitman, Arkansas. Authorities confirmed her identity following next-of-kin notification.
Deputies and emergency responders were called to Hill Lake after reports of a body in the water. The recovery operation was carried out with the assistance of local search and rescue personnel. Once recovered, the body was turned over to the Pulaski County Coroner’s Office for examination.
At this time, the cause and manner of death remain under investigation. Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office continue to gather evidence, conduct interviews, and await findings from forensic analysis. No further information regarding the circumstances surrounding Murphy’s death has been released.
