Oklahoma City Police Identify Victims in Deadly Intentional Crash

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — The Oklahoma City Police Department has confirmed the identities of the two people killed in a devastating crash last week in northeast Oklahoma City. Authorities say the collision was not accidental but the result of an intentional act of violence.

The crash happened on Friday, September 12, 2025, just before 2:45 p.m. near East Wilshire Boulevard and Katherine Place. When officers arrived, they found two vehicles mangled beyond recognition, debris scattered across the roadway, and two lives tragically lost.

The victims were identified as 31-year-old Jonathan Wooldridge and 30-year-old Sierra Gamble, both pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators allege Gamble had been abducted prior to the crash, and the driver responsible deliberately rammed another vehicle, causing the fatal collision.

That driver, whose identity has not been officially released, sustained critical injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Police later confirmed that upon recovery, he was taken into custody and now faces murder charges.

Aerial footage of the aftermath captured by local news outlets revealed the violent force of the impact, with emergency crews working for hours at the scene. Officials described the wreckage as both shocking and heartbreaking.

Family, friends, and community members have been left reeling from the sudden, senseless loss. Loved ones remembered Wooldridge and Gamble as kind, hardworking, and deeply loved, their lives cut short in a moment of preventable violence.

“This was a tragedy that should never have happened,” an OCPD spokesperson said. “Our thoughts are with the families of Jonathan and Sierra as they endure this unimaginable loss.”

Authorities emphasized that the crash was not a random act but a targeted incident, underscoring the devastating consequences of domestic violence and reckless disregard for life. The investigation remains ongoing as detectives and prosecutors work to establish the full scope of the case and determine additional charges.

Funeral arrangements for Jonathan Wooldridge and Sierra Gamble are expected to be announced by their families in the coming days.
