Milan, Ill. — Authorities Identify Woman Killed in Head-On Crash on Route 67
A tragic collision on Route 67 in rural Milan claimed the life of a Reynolds woman Wednesday morning, leaving family, friends, and the community grieving her sudden loss.
The Rock Island County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as 32-year-old Lauren A. Hall of Reynolds, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred around 10 a.m. on September 17, 2025, in the 15000 block of Route 67, according to local authorities.
The Crash
Preliminary reports from the Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office indicate that two vehicles — one traveling northbound and the other southbound — collided nearly head-on along the busy stretch of highway.
Hall, who was driving one of the vehicles, suffered fatal injuries in the impact. A 52-year-old man in the other vehicle sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. His current condition has not yet been released.
Authorities have not yet determined what caused the vehicles to collide and emphasized that the investigation remains ongoing.

The collision triggered a large-scale emergency response involving multiple agencies. The Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office coordinated the scene, with assistance from the Moline Police Department, Milan Police Department, and several local fire departments including Coal Valley, Blackhawk, Sherrard, and Reynolds.
In order to secure the area and allow investigators to examine the crash site, Route 67 was closed between 127th Avenue and 176th Avenue for several hours before reopening later in the day.
