Man Shot During Argument Outside Henrico 7-Eleven, Investigation Ongoing

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — A Thursday night altercation outside a 7-Eleven gas station in Henrico County escalated into violence when a man was shot in the leg, according to sources familiar with the investigation. The shooting occurred around 10:30 p.m. in the 6300 block of Horsepen Road, in a typically quiet area that was quickly disrupted by the sound of gunfire.

Henrico Police have confirmed that the victim, identified as Kendall Hilliard, sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his leg during the incident. Crime Insider sources indicated that the shooting took place during an argument between two men outside the convenience store. At some point during the dispute, one of the men pulled out a firearm and opened fire, striking Hilliard.

Despite the injury, Hilliard was able to transport himself to a nearby hospital for treatment. As of Friday morning, authorities reported that he is expected to recover.

The motive behind the confrontation remains unclear, and the identity of the shooter has not been released. Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances that led to the incident, including reviewing surveillance footage from the 7-Eleven and interviewing potential witnesses who may have seen or heard the altercation.
