Man Identified as Tee Gee Killed, Another Critically Injured in North St. Louis Shooting on Ruskin Avenue

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Police are investigating a deadly shooting in north St. Louis that left one man dead and another critically wounded on Saturday afternoon.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, officers and detectives from the 6th District responded to reports of shots fired in the 5300 block of Ruskin Avenue at approximately 2:31 p.m. on September 27, 2025.

Upon arrival, officers found two adult male victims suffering from critical gunshot wounds. Both men were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Despite lifesaving efforts, one of the victims was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival. The second victim remains hospitalized in critical condition.

Police have identified the deceased victim as Tee Gee, though additional details about his age or background have not yet been released. Family notifications are ongoing.

Homicide detectives have taken over the case and are working to determine the circumstances that led up to the shooting. At this time, authorities have not announced any arrests or identified possible suspects.

The 5300 block of Ruskin Avenue, located in a residential area of north city, was heavily patrolled on Saturday afternoon as investigators canvassed the neighborhood, collected evidence, and spoke with potential witnesses. The incident has further raised concerns in the community, where residents continue to grapple with the ongoing toll of gun violence.
