PITTSBURGH, Pa. — A tragic shooting in the Hill District has left a family and community in deep mourning after a man was killed Thursday evening.
According to Allegheny County dispatchers, the incident occurred around 6:54 p.m. in the 600 block of Perry Street. Responding officers from the Pittsburgh Police Department arrived on scene and discovered a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Despite lifesaving efforts, the victim did not survive.
Authorities have not yet released the victim’s official name; however, loved ones and community members have identified him as Drivebaby Babyg. This heartbreaking loss is especially devastating for his mother, Danielle Matthews, who, according to those close to the family, has now endured the unimaginable pain of losing another son.
