Jaden Williams – A Beautiful Life Stolen Too Soon: Help Support the Family of Jaden Williams After a Tragic Hit-and-Run

Yesterday evening, our entire world came to a devastating halt.

Our beloved nephew, Jaden Elijah Williams, just 12 years old, was tragically taken from us in a horrific hit-and-run accident that occurred just blocks from his family’s home. What began as a normal evening—a walk to the nearby park, laughter in the air, plans for dinner—ended in unspeakable tragedy. A driver, whose face we do not know and whose responsibility remains unfaced, struck Jaden and fled the scene, leaving our bright, beautiful boy alone on a cold pavement.

Jaden was more than just a child. He was a spark. A kind-hearted soul with a smile that could melt even the hardest of days. His laugh was loud and contagious, his hugs were warm and real, and his dreams were as big as his heart. He wanted to be an astronaut one day. Or maybe a veterinarian. Or a basketball player. The truth is, Jaden believed he could be anything—and the people who loved him believed it too.

A Child of Light and Joy

Born in the summer of 2012, Jaden brought joy into our lives the moment he arrived. From his first steps to his last school award, he brought a sense of pride and purpose to his family that words can hardly capture. He was the kind of kid who shared his snacks even when he had little, stood up for classmates being bullied, and made cards for his mom just because he loved her.

His teachers called him “a leader in the making.” His cousins called him “the fun one.” To his parents, he was their world—their only child, their everything. To us, he was a light we never imagined would dim so soon.

The Unbearable Weight of Loss

The pain of losing Jaden is unlike anything we’ve ever known. His mother, Tiana, cannot sleep. His father, Marcus, walks through the house in silence, holding Jaden’s favorite hoodie to his chest. The echoes of his voice, his footsteps, his laughter—it all lingers in a home that will never feel the same again.

No parent should have to bury their child. No family should have to explain to a 7-year-old cousin why Jaden won’t be coming to the next birthday party. And no child should have their life stolen by a reckless act of inhumanity and cowardice.

A Plea for Justice, A Call for Support

Local authorities are investigating, but so far, no arrests have been made. We plead with the public—if you know anything, if you saw anything, if you have any information, please come forward. Justice for Jaden cannot come fast enough, and your voice might be the one that makes a difference.

In the meantime, our family is trying to do the unimaginable: plan a funeral for a child. We are setting up a GoFundMe page to help with funeral expenses, counseling services, and to create a memorial scholarship in Jaden’s name—something to honor the beautiful future he was robbed of.

Your support—whether through donations, prayers, or simply sharing Jaden’s story—means more than words can say. Every dollar, every kind thought, every act of solidarity is a small step toward healing in a journey that has only just begun.

Remembering Jaden

We will remember Jaden for the love he gave so freely. For the way he held his grandmother’s hand at family gatherings. For how he danced in the kitchen when no one was looking. For the way he made life just… better.

We will remember him not for the way he left us, but for the way he lived—with joy, curiosity, and a heart wide open to the world.

Rest in peace, sweet Jaden.
You were—and always will be—loved beyond measure.
