It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Joseph Hunt, a cherished member of the Owensboro, Kentucky community. Joseph, known for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to helping others, departed this life on March 20, 2025, at the age of 45.
Early Life and Background
Born on July 15, 1979, in Owensboro, Joseph was the son of Walter and Irene Hunt. He was preceded in death by his parents, who were his greatest supporters and the foundation of his values. Joseph’s family was everything to him, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
A Life of Service and Compassion
Joseph was the epitome of living a life rooted in love, compassion, and authenticity. He was a friend, brother, son, and companion who made everyone around him feel seen, heard, and valued. His ability to bring joy into any room he entered was truly remarkable.
In April 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Joseph demonstrated his selflessness by initiating the “Share to Save Owensboro” project. He collected money and donations, purchased food and cleaning supplies, and made deliveries across town to assist those in need.
Memorial Service Details
A memorial service celebrating Joseph’s life will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at the Owensboro First Christian Church, located at 700 J.R. Miller Blvd, Owensboro, Kentucky. The service will be followed by a reception at the church hall, providing family, friends, and community members an opportunity to share memories and offer support to Joseph’s family. All who knew him are invited to attend and celebrate his remarkable life.
