In Loving Memory of Zacharias Stallings Gone from our sight, never from our hearts

On October 23, 2025, the search for Zacharias Stallings came to an end in Schertz, Texas. Around 3:30 p.m., while conducting an aerial search near the Schwab Road and I-35 southbound area, the Schertz Police Department located a body in a field in the northwest corner of the roadway. Shortly thereafter, authorities confirmed that the individual found was Zacharias. His family was notified, and what began as a search effort closed in heartbreak.

Today, we remember not the moment he was found, but the life he lived before that day — the relationships he built, the laughter he shared, the routines and conversations that made him a cherished part of many lives. The weight of his loss is carried by family members, friends, neighbors, and all who knew his name and his character.

Although the investigation into the circumstances remains ongoing, what is already certain is the depth of grief felt by those closest to him. A life has been interrupted; plans unfulfilled; voices quieted; a place at the table now empty. In loss this sudden, there is confusion, disbelief, and silence — but there is also the tender evidence of love in every tear, every memory, and every person who feels the ache of his absence.

To the family and friends of Zacharias Stallings, may you be surrounded by care in the days ahead. May you find strength in one another and comfort in recalling who he was — not only in broad strokes but in the small, sacred details: the way he spoke, the way he smiled, the way he showed up in your life. Grief is the shadow cast by love, and this shadow is proof that he mattered.

May Zacharias be remembered with gentleness.
May those he leaves behind be held in peace as they mourn.
And may the echo of his life — his influence, his kindness, his spirit — remain with all who knew him.

Rest in peace, Zacharias.
You are loved. You are remembered. You are not forgotten.
