In Loving Memory of Wayne Barton

A Life of Love, Strength, and Generosity

It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Wayne Barton. Wayne left this world surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, resilience, and warmth that will never be forgotten.

Wayne was a big man—not just in stature, but in heart and spirit. His presence filled every room, not with noise or demand, but with gentleness, kindness, and an unwavering sense of calm. He had a way of making people feel seen and valued, whether through a simple smile, a helping hand, or his quiet willingness to be there when it mattered most. Those who knew him well will remember a man who never sought the spotlight, but who shone brightly in the lives of everyone he touched.

Wayne’s strength was not only physical—it was the strength of character, of loyalty, and of enduring love for his family and friends. He believed in the importance of being there for others. He was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back, who would show up when you needed someone, and who never hesitated to offer support without asking for anything in return.

He was the brother, the uncle, the friend, and the neighbor you could always count on. And though he carried his own share of burdens in life, he never allowed them to harden his heart. Instead, he remained generous, humble, and full of quiet joy—sharing laughter, stories, and moments that will now live on in the memories of those who loved him.

Wayne had a deep connection to his community and his faith. He lived simply and loved deeply. He appreciated the small things in life—a home-cooked meal, a good conversation, a warm afternoon spent with family. He leaves behind a legacy of love that is stitched into the fabric of his family and friends’ lives.

To celebrate the life of Wayne Barton, a memorial service will be held this Saturday at 2:00 PM at Liberty Baptist Church, located at 1077 Hwy 314, Fayetteville, GA 30214. The service will be officiated by Pastor Skip Ferron.

We invite all who knew Wayne—those who laughed with him, cried with him, worked beside him, prayed with him, or simply shared a quiet moment—to join us in honoring his memory. It will be a time of reflection, of storytelling, of shared sorrow and gratitude for a life so deeply lived.

Though Wayne has departed from this world, the impact he made on our hearts remains. We grieve his absence, but we also celebrate his life—a life that was rich in love, marked by grace, and guided by unwavering kindness.

In the days ahead, as we remember Wayne, may we carry forward the love he so freely gave. May we live with the same quiet strength, the same open heart, and the same deep care for others. And in doing so, may we keep his spirit alive in all we do.

Rest in peace, Wayne. You were deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
