In Loving Memory of Tom Reilley: Founder, Friend, and Guiding Light

It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of our beloved parade founder, Tom Reilley. For more than four decades, Tom was the heart and soul of our celebration—its visionary, its lifeblood, and its most passionate supporter. His legacy, etched in every banner, every beat of the drum, and every smile lining the parade route, will live on forever.

Tom was more than a founder; he was our motivator, our compass, and our friend. He brought an unmatched spirit of joy, tradition, and unity to this parade and our community as a whole. With boundless energy and an unwavering belief in the power of gathering people together in pride and purpose, Tom turned what began as a small local event into a cherished annual tradition that touched thousands.

He cheered the loudest, worked the hardest, and always made sure everyone felt like they belonged. Whether he was organizing behind the scenes or leading the charge from the front, Tom made magic happen. His presence had a way of inspiring others—uplifting volunteers, energizing performers, and reminding us all of the deeper meaning behind what we do each year.

We mourn not just a leader but a dear friend whose absence leaves an immeasurable void. While we grieve his loss, we also honor his life, his work, and the joy he brought to so many. We make this solemn pledge: Tom’s vision will remain our own. His values will guide us, and his dream will live on through each float, flag, and footstep in the years to come. We will keep his memory close as we carry forward the tradition he so lovingly built.

Our deepest and most heartfelt condolences go out to Diane, his beloved wife, life partner, and our current Grand Marshal—who stood beside him in love and leadership; to his children, Erin, Keith, Brendan, Jeff, Catherine, Thomas, and Jenna; and to the entire Reilley family, whose strength and love reflect the same spirit Tom shared with all of us.

To our community, friends, and extended parade family: We invite you to join us in remembering Tom, not just in mourning, but in celebration of a life so well lived—a life that brought us all closer together and gave us something truly special to cherish year after year.

Rest in peace, Tom. Thank you for everything. We will carry your light forward. Always.
