In Loving Memory of Teresa Sue (Thrailkill) Conner September 4, 1960 – July 11, 2025 A Legacy of Love, Kindness, and Quiet Strength

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Teresa Sue (Thrailkill) Conner on Friday, July 11, 2025, at the age of 64. Surrounded by the unwavering love of her family, Teresa departed this world leaving behind a lasting legacy of grace, selflessness, and compassion that touched the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Born on September 4, 1960, in Columbia City, Indiana, Teresa was the light that brightened every room, the gentle voice that soothed every sorrow, and the steady presence that held family and friends together through both joy and hardship. Her inner beauty radiated outwardly through her loving spirit, her warm smile, and her quiet acts of kindness that never sought recognition.

A Life Devoted to Others

Teresa dedicated her life to the care and comfort of those around her. Her love knew no bounds—whether she was preparing a favorite home-cooked meal, sharing heartfelt advice, or opening her arms to someone in need, her compassion was limitless. Her home was more than just a place; it was a sanctuary of love, laughter, and cherished memories—where all were welcome and every heart found peace.

A 1979 graduate of Blackford High School, Teresa married the love of her life, Kevin Conner, on June 12, 1982, beginning a remarkable journey of 43 years of devoted partnership. Together they built a family rooted in unconditional love, mutual respect, and shared joy. Teresa’s nurturing nature extended beyond her immediate family—she gave her heart to everyone who crossed her path.

Beloved by Her Family and Community

In addition to being a devoted wife, Teresa was a proud and loving mother, grandmother, sister-in-law, cousin, and dear friend. Her daughters, Danielle (Clint) Dickey and Kaitlin (J.W.) Rinker, carry forward her compassion, strength, and values. She found immense joy in her grandchildren: Kennedy Dickey (and fiancé Jaden Reum), Cole Dickey, Conner Dickey, and Brantley Rinker, who brought her endless pride and smiles.

She was also dearly loved by her sister-in-law Kimberlee “Kim” Sherbrooke, her chosen son Jason Burnside (Kimberly) and their two children, as well as her brother, Gary (Sherry) Thrailkill of North Carolina. A wide circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends—many of whom became family by heart—will carry Teresa’s love with them always.

Throughout her life, Teresa was a treasured figure in the community. She served many years in the education system, beginning her career at St. John’s Riedman Memorial School and later working within the Blackford County Schools, where she was loved and admired by students, staff, and families alike. Her gentle leadership and generous spirit left a lasting mark on the lives of countless children and coworkers.
