In Loving Memory of Sergeant Brandon Miles Faithful Servant, Devoted Leader, Beloved Friend

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sergeant Brandon Miles, a dedicated public servant whose unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of his community spanned over 17 remarkable years. From April 2007 until his final watch in 2025, Sergeant Miles stood as a pillar of courage, discipline, and compassion—embodying the very best of what it means to wear the badge.

Born with a heart to serve and a fierce sense of duty, Sergeant Miles joined the force in April 2007 and quickly became known not only for his professionalism but also for his approachability, intelligence, and integrity. He rose through the ranks and served in multiple specialized assignments that highlighted his versatility and skill, including Patrol, SWAT, Bomb Squad, Motors, School Resource Officer, and Training.

A Legacy of Service

In every role he took on, Sergeant Miles left an indelible mark. His time in Patrol was spent safeguarding the streets with vigilance and empathy, often going above and beyond to help those in need. As a member of SWAT and the Bomb Squad, he exemplified calm under pressure, precision, and bravery—protecting others at great personal risk. His work with the Motors unit demonstrated his sharp focus and meticulous attention to detail, while his role as a School Resource Officer showed his nurturing side, where he became a mentor and protector to students and faculty alike. In his final years, he served as a Trainer, molding the next generation of officers with the same values he upheld: integrity, discipline, and heart.

His colleagues and peers remember him as someone who brought not just excellence to the job, but a spirit of genuine camaraderie and friendship. Whether it was a late-night shift, a high-risk operation, or a community event, Sergeant Miles was the one who offered a steady hand, a good story, or a word of encouragement. His presence made others feel safe, capable, and stronger.

A Devoted Family Man and Friend

While Brandon’s professional accomplishments were significant, those closest to him know that his greatest pride was his family. He was a devoted husband, father, son, and friend—a man who loved deeply, gave freely, and led with quiet strength. His warm heart, quick wit, and humble spirit enriched the lives of all who knew him.

In and out of uniform, he lived a life guided by faith, service, and love. He believed in showing up—for his community, his team, and most of all, his family. His passing leaves behind not only a department in mourning but a ripple of grief across the many lives he touched.
