In Loving Memory of Rory Spears: A Shining Light of Park Medical Academy

It is with heavy hearts, immense sorrow, and reverent remembrance that we commemorate the life of one of Park Medical Academy’s brightest stars — Rory Spears. Rory’s unexpected passing has left a void in our hearts that words cannot fill, but his presence and legacy will remain etched in the soul of our school and everyone who had the privilege to know him.

From the moment Rory entered the halls of Park Medical Academy, it was evident that he was destined for greatness. As 7th Grade Class President and a dedicated student ambassador, Rory served his classmates and school with a quiet strength and unwavering purpose. He brought leadership, integrity, and an unmatched sense of responsibility to every role he held — always striving to make Park a better place for all.

Rory’s passion extended far beyond student government. A gifted musician, he was a treasured member of both the PMA Jazz Band and the All-District Jazz Band, sharing his talent with poise and purpose. His music, much like his spirit, resonated deeply — lifting the hearts of his peers and teachers alike. Through every note he played, Rory reminded us of the beauty and power of artistic expression.

Wise beyond his years, Rory earned the nickname “Paw Paw” — a term of endearment that reflected his thoughtful nature, old-soul wisdom, and the calm maturity he carried in every situation. Whether in the classroom, on the stage, or simply in conversation with a friend, Rory exuded grace, thoughtfulness, and insight that inspired everyone around him.

Crowned Mr. 7th Grade on the PMA Homecoming Court by the votes of his peers, Rory’s character spoke volumes. He didn’t just walk the walk — he walked tall, talked tall, and stood tall in everything he did. He was the embodiment of what it means to be a Park Cub: respectful, responsible, resilient, and radiant. His peers adored him. His teachers respected him. His school cherished him.

Rory had a way of lighting up every room he entered — his presence was powerful yet humble, his heart open and generous, his mind sharp and curious. Whether leading a classroom discussion, helping a friend in need, or simply offering a kind smile, Rory brought joy, compassion, and a spirit of excellence to every space he touched.

We extend our deepest prayers and heartfelt condolences to Rory’s devoted mother, Mrs. Lakeitha Penn Turnipseed, to his beloved family, and to every friend, classmate, and staff member who now carries the weight of this unimaginable loss. May God surround you with strength, solace, and peace during this time of grieving and healing.

To our Park scholars and community, we offer this reminder:

“Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal.”Isaiah 35:10
Let Rory’s life and legacy inspire us to be better, kinder, more loving people — to walk in the light he shared so freely.

Those who love us never truly leave us.
They walk beside us each day — unseen, unheard, but always near.
Still loved. Still missed. Still very dear.

Rest in power, Rory Spears.
Your legacy will live on in our hearts, our memories, and the very walls of Park Medical Academy.
We love you, forever. 🕊️💙
