In Loving Memory of Quinton Lester
Marietta, Georgia
Beloved Son, Student, Friend, and Future Serviceman
2007 – April 11, 2025
With broken hearts and deep sorrow, the family, friends, and community of Quinton Lester, of Marietta, GA, share the devastating news of his untimely passing on April 11, 2025, at just 17 years old. Quinton’s life, though heartbreakingly short, was one filled with promise, dedication, and a radiant light that touched everyone fortunate enough to know him.
A cherished student at Tri-Cities High School and a proud, devoted member of the JROTC, Quinton lived with purpose far beyond his years. His dream was to serve his country—an aspiration that inspired those around him and reflected the strength of his character and his selfless heart.
A Life Full of Promise
Quinton was more than a student—he was a natural leader, a loyal friend, and a beacon of positivity. He stood out at Tri-Cities High School not only because of his academic and extracurricular commitment but because of the way he carried himself with quiet dignity and an unshakable determination.
His participation in the Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) was a cornerstone of his life. There, he found his passion, his purpose, and his people. He wore his uniform with pride, not as a badge of achievement, but as a symbol of what he hoped to give back to the world. Those who served alongside him describe him as disciplined, driven, and fiercely loyal, always ready to help his teammates, mentor underclassmen, or go the extra mile without being asked.
Quinton’s aspirations to join the military were more than just a dream—they were a calling. He spoke often of wanting to protect others, to make a difference, and to honor his family through service. It is a future he will no longer see, but one that his community now carries forward in his name.
Loved Beyond Words
Quinton was a loving son, brother, and grandson, whose kindness, quick wit, and warm smile brought joy to every room. He had a calming presence and a thoughtful soul, often checking in on friends and offering support without ever needing to be asked. His family speaks of a young man who loved deeply, respected others, and lived with integrity.
He was especially close to his mother and siblings, who were the center of his world. His bond with them was unshakable, filled with laughter, late-night talks, and shared dreams of what was to come. The loss of Quinton leaves a void that words can scarcely describe, but the memories they built together are a source of comfort and strength in this time of immense grief.
A Community in Mourning
The news of Quinton’s passing has left the Marietta and Tri-Cities High School communities in shock and sorrow. Vigils, memorials, and heartfelt tributes have begun to appear across social media and at school, with students, teachers, and mentors sharing stories of his kindness, work ethic, and unwavering spirit.
In this incredibly difficult time, the Davis family, with whom Quinton lived, is navigating both emotional and financial hardship. To honor Quinton and give him the farewell he deserves, they have launched a fundraising effort to assist with cremation and funeral expenses. The family is asking for the community’s support—not only in funds but in shared love and prayer.
How to Help
A memorial fund has been established to help cover the costs of Quinton’s services. Any amount, no matter how small, is a meaningful contribution and deeply appreciated. Donations will go directly toward cremation expenses, a memorial service, and providing support for the Davis family as they grieve.
If you are unable to give, the family asks that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers, and help keep Quinton’s spirit alive by sharing stories, lighting a candle, or simply honoring him in your own way.
Honoring His Legacy
Quinton Lester may no longer walk among us, but the legacy he leaves behind is one of courage, love, and hope. He lived a life guided by principles of honor and service, and he was a shining example of what it means to care for something greater than yourself. His dream to serve this country lives on in the hearts of those who will now carry it forward in his memory.
Let us not remember Quinton solely in grief, but in the strength of the values he stood for—loyalty, compassion, ambition, and service. Let us speak his name often, share his story widely, and ensure that his light is never dimmed by time.
“The bravest hearts are often the youngest. Quinton’s light may have gone out in this world, but it burns forever in ours.”
Rest in peace, Quinton. You will always be our soldier, our leader, our light.
