In Loving Memory of Quaylyn Carter

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we share the tragic passing of Quaylyn Carter, age 21, of Monroeville, who was fatally shot inside a vehicle on Tuesday morning, November 4, 2025, in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania. His life was taken far too soon, leaving a deep and painful void in the hearts of his family, friends, and the community who loved him dearly.

Quaylyn was a young man full of life, promise, and ambition. At just 21, he was at the beginning of his journey — discovering who he was, shaping his future, and building connections rooted in love and loyalty. Those who knew him remember a bright smile, a warm heart, and a presence that could bring comfort, laughter, or joy just by simply being there. He had an energy about him that was uplifting, a spirit that was gentle yet strong, and a way of making others feel seen and understood.

To his family, Quaylyn was a source of pride, laughter, and love. He brought joy into their lives with his humor, his honesty, and his unique way of expressing himself. He was the kind of person who checked on his loved ones, made sure everyone was okay, and stood by the people he cared about. His loyalty ran deep. His love was genuine.

Friends remember him as someone who could make a difficult day easier and a good day unforgettable. He had dreams — real, heartfelt dreams — for his life and for the future he envisioned. He talked about his goals, worked toward them, and encouraged others to keep pushing toward theirs. He believed in building something meaningful. He believed in better days.

The circumstances of his passing are heartbreaking, and the pain of losing someone so young, so loving, and so full of potential is something that words can barely hold. But those who love Quaylyn choose to remember him for his life, not his final moment. They remember his jokes, his voice, his ideas, his hugs, his late-night conversations, his laughter shared in cars, living rooms, parks, family gatherings, and quiet moments that now live on in memory.

As the community mourns, we hold his family in our thoughts:

May they find strength in the love he gave.

May they find peace in the memories they carry.

May they feel his presence in every sunset, every song, every moment of stillness where love lingers.

Violence took Quaylyn from this world, but nothing can take away the love he shared, the lives he touched, and the legacy he leaves behind.

Rest peacefully, Quaylyn Carter.

You mattered. You were loved. You will always be remembered. 🕊️🤍
