In Loving Memory of Prince “TCB” — Beloved Friend, Brother, Son, and Community Soul Charlotte, North Carolina
The Charlotte community is heartbroken and in deep mourning after the tragic and senseless loss of Prince TCB, widely and affectionately known as “PJ.” On November 2, 2025, PJ’s life was taken in a devastating double shooting on Oakwood Road in Charlotte, NC. It was around 3 p.m. when gunfire rang out, leaving PJ and another victim fatally wounded. Both passed away at the scene before help could arrive. As of now, no arrests have been made, and yet another family and community are left seeking answers, justice, and peace.
But today, we speak not only of the tragedy — we speak of the man behind the headlines.
A Life That Touched Many
Prince, or “PJ,” was more than a name trending in the news. He was loved.
He was known for his warm presence, his loyalty to the people he cared about, and his ability to light up a room without even trying. He had a way of bringing laughter where there was heaviness, hope where there was hurt, and unity among friends, neighbors, and community.
People often described him as someone who took care of others, someone who made sure everyone around him was straight. Whether it was a kind word, a joke at the right time, or simply his calming presence — PJ was there. That is what made him special. That is what made him unforgettable.
Gone Too Soon
No mother should have to plan her child’s funeral.
No friends should have to share memories before they have had the chance to create years more.
No community should have to bury another young life full of promise.
PJ had dreams — dreams of growth, better days, and a life where he could elevate those around him. He was working towards his goals, building his future step by step. The violence that ended his life did not end his purpose — because purpose lives on in memory, in love, and in the people forever changed by having known him.

Gun violence has taken too many of our sons, our brothers, our friends. Over and over again, candles are lit, balloons are released, tears fall, prayers rise, and yet the cycle continues. The loss of PJ is not just a family’s loss — it is a community wound. We cannot allow his life to be reduced to another statistic, another headline, another moment of silence quickly forgotten.
His life mattered.
