In Loving Memory of Michael Berkowitz Cherished Brother, Gifted Musician, Compassionate Soul
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Berkowitz, a beloved brother, son, and friend to many. Michael’s journey ended far too soon, leaving a profound void in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Michael was more than a gifted musician—he was a gentle and thoughtful spirit whose passion for music was matched only by his kindness and generosity. A proud alumnus of the Berklee College of Music, Michael dedicated his life to the exploration and expression of sound, rhythm, and the emotional depth of human experience through music. His talent was unmistakable, his creativity boundless, and his commitment to his craft unwavering.
Before Berklee, Michael attended the Landon School, where he forged lifelong friendships and began to develop the artistic and intellectual foundation that would define his future. Whether on stage performing, in the studio producing, or teaching and mentoring others, Michael was a true artist with a heart full of love and an infectious spirit.
Michael’s impact extended far beyond the classroom and the concert hall. To his family, he was a beloved brother, a confidant, and a source of unshakable support. To his friends, he was a light—humble, sincere, and always there when it mattered most. His laughter was genuine, his presence calming, and his belief in the power of human connection was felt deeply by those around him.
A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 29th, where family, friends, and loved ones will gather to honor Michael’s life, share memories, and find solace in the music and stories that defined his legacy. Details of the event will be shared in the coming days.
In this time of grief, we are reminded of the immense love that Michael brought into the world. Though his physical presence may be gone, his spirit will continue to live on in every note he played, every life he touched, and every heart he helped heal with his music.
We love you, Michael. You are deeply missed, and you will never be forgotten. ❤️

Rest in peace, dear brother.
