It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt sadness that we share the passing of our beloved friend and long-time Playhouse participant, Matt Nord, who left us on Monday, July 7th, 2025. Matt was not only a regular presence in our programs — he was part of the very fabric of our Playhouse family. His smile, his spirit, and his patriotic pride left a mark on all who were blessed to know him.
Matt was a bright light in every room he entered. He had a way of lifting others with his infectious joy, heartfelt laughter, and genuine interest in those around him. Whether participating in a class, attending a celebration, or simply spending time with friends, Matt brought warmth, honesty, and an unmistakable sense of camaraderie to every moment.
A True Patriot
Matt’s love for his country was one of his most defining traits. A proud American, he lit up whenever he saw the American flag, and he never missed an opportunity to celebrate national holidays or honor those who served. He had a special fondness for eagles, flags, and tattoos that represented patriotism — always admiring them with deep respect and enthusiasm. It was in these small yet meaningful things that Matt expressed his heart: bold, loyal, and full of pride.

Though we are devastated by his loss, we are endlessly grateful for the memories Matt gave us — the laughter, the high-fives, the hugs, the parades, and the beautiful moments that will remain etched in our hearts forever.

Final Arrangements
As of now, final arrangements for Matt are still being made, and we will share those details with our community as soon as they become available. We plan to hold a special Celebration of Life in his honor at the Playhouse in the near future — a time for all of us to gather, remember, and share the love that Matt gave so freely.
