In Loving Memory of Kenny “Little Kenny” Chizewick
Forever a Part of the Eddie O’Briens Family
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of one of our most beloved employees, Kenny Chizewick, affectionately known to all of us as “Little Kenny.” His unexpected departure has left a significant void not only in our hearts but also within the soul of our workplace here at Eddie’s O’Briens Grille & Bar. His passing serves as a heartbreaking reminder of life’s fragility and the importance of cherishing every moment we share with those around us.
For the past three years, Little Kenny brought his unmistakable energy, infectious joy, and unwavering positivity to both our Canandaigua and Farmington locations. What started as a job for him quickly evolved into something much deeper — a genuine bond with the Eddie O’s team, and a place where his presence could light up the room. He wasn’t just a colleague. He was family.
A Bright Light in Every Room
There was something about Little Kenny that simply couldn’t be replicated — his bright smile, quick wit, and an unmatched ability to turn any shift into a lively, laughter-filled experience. Whether it was joking with coworkers or teasing customers about their sports loyalties, Kenny always found a way to make people smile. He never let a day go by without lifting someone else’s spirits.
He had a special kind of charm — the kind that made you feel like you’d known him forever. He loved to talk sports and had strong opinions about his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Mets. His playful banter with coworkers about game scores, draft picks, or last night’s highlights was something we all looked forward to. Even those who rooted for rival teams couldn’t help but admire his loyalty and passion.
And so, in his honor, we are setting aside our competitive rivalries — just this once — to stand proudly beside the black and gold and the orange and blue, celebrating the teams he loved as a tribute to the spirit he brought to us every day.
A Family Within a Family
At Eddie O’Briens, we’ve always considered ourselves a tight-knit family, and Kenny’s place in that family is one that ran especially deep. His father, Kenny “Big Kenny” Chizewick, and his stepmother, Dani Chizewick, have both been treasured members of our team for nearly a decade. Their dedication and warmth have helped shape our workplace into what it is today — a community built on support, respect, and care.
Our hearts are absolutely broken for Big Kenny and Dani. No parent should ever have to endure the loss of a child, and we cannot begin to comprehend the depth of their grief. But in this moment of sorrow, we want them to know they are not alone. We stand with them, and we will continue to surround them with the love, strength, and compassion that only a true work family can offer.
Honoring His Legacy
In response to this tragedy, we are taking immediate steps to support Little Kenny’s family in any way we can. Donation buckets have been placed at both our Canandaigua and Farmington locations. Every single dollar contributed — whether in person or electronically — will go directly to Kenny’s family to help ease the burden of the sudden and unexpected expenses they now face.
Additionally, we will soon be hosting a Benefit Night in Little Kenny’s memory, where 100% of the proceeds will go to his family. We will share the official date and event details in the coming days, and we invite everyone — friends, customers, former coworkers, and community members — to join us in this meaningful celebration of his life.
Forever in Our Hearts
Kenny “Little Kenny” Chizewick was the kind of person whose presence you never forget. He brought joy, laughter, and light to Eddie O’Briens and to the lives of everyone lucky enough to know him. The hole left by his absence cannot be filled — but neither can the love and joy he gave be erased. His spirit lives on in every joke told behind the bar, every conversation about sports, every heartfelt moment shared among staff and guests alike.
We will miss his laughter. We will miss his energy. We will miss him — deeply and dearly.
Little Kenny, thank you for everything. For the memories, the laughter, the hard work, and most of all, for your heart. You will always have a seat at our table, a place in our hearts, and a legacy that lives on through every shift and every smile shared in your memory.
Rest easy, Little Kenny. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
