In Loving Memory of Kenneth Shane Garrison Forever Remembered, Forever Missed

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. — The Douglas County community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of 52-year-old Kenneth Shane Garrison of North Bend, whose life was tragically cut short in a single-vehicle crash early Monday morning, October 6, 2025.

According to the Oregon State Police (OSP), the accident occurred at approximately 5:27 a.m. along Highway 38 near milepost 49, just outside the city of Drain. Kenneth was driving his gold Buick Century eastbound when, for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle left the roadway, traveled down an embankment, and struck a tree before coming to rest. Despite the quick response from emergency crews, Kenneth was pronounced deceased at the scene.

While the details of the crash remain under investigation, what is clear is that the community has lost a kind and hardworking man — someone who left a lasting mark on the lives of those who knew him.

Kenneth Shane Garrison was more than just a name in a tragic report; he was a beloved father, friend, and neighbor. Those close to him remember him for his easygoing spirit, his sense of humor, and the way he could bring warmth and laughter to any room. Whether sharing stories over coffee, helping a friend in need, or enjoying Oregon’s beautiful outdoors, Kenneth lived with a genuine kindness that touched everyone around him.

He was deeply proud of his roots in North Bend, a town that shaped his work ethic and his love for community. Friends describe him as someone who could be counted on — loyal, humble, and selfless. Kenneth was known for lending a helping hand, never expecting anything in return, and for his quiet strength in times of difficulty.

The loss has left a void not only in his family’s hearts but also in the broader Douglas County community. Neighbors and friends have come together to share memories, support one another, and honor a man who will be remembered for the love he gave so freely and the joy he brought to others.

In times like these, words often fall short. But those who knew Kenneth find comfort in remembering the small moments — his smile, his laughter, his unwavering compassion. He may be gone from sight, but his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who loved him.

As investigations into the crash continue, the focus for family and friends remains on celebrating Kenneth’s life and cherishing the memories that define who he was — a man of sincerity, heart, and dedication.

Rest in peace, Kenneth Shane Garrison.

You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Your spirit will forever remain a part of those who were blessed to know you.
