In Loving Memory of Elliott Page Gone too soon, but forever remembered

The community of Clairton is grieving after the tragic and untimely loss of Elliott Page, 45, whose life was taken far too soon in a heartbreaking act of violence. What began as a call reporting gunfire late Friday night unfolded into a devastating discovery that has left family, friends, and neighbors searching for answers and holding tightly to cherished memories of a man who meant so much to so many.

According to the Allegheny County Police Department, the investigation began around 11:55 p.m. on Friday, when 911 dispatchers received reports of shots fired near the Village Inn parking lot. Less than 30 minutes later, at 12:23 a.m. on Saturday, first responders were alerted to something no one in the community could have prepared for—a man was found unresponsive in the backyard of a home on the 800 block of Vankirk Street. When officers arrived, they discovered Elliott Page, who had suffered fatal gunshot wounds. Despite their efforts, Elliott had already passed.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office later confirmed his identity, sending shockwaves through a community now mourning the loss of a father, friend, neighbor, and loved one.

A Life Remembered

Elliott was more than a name in a tragic headline. He was a presence—steady, warm, and deeply loved. Elliott was known for his easygoing personality, his kindness that touched people without effort, and his ability to light up a room simply by being in it.

Those who knew him speak of a man who cared deeply for the people around him, someone who did what he could to uplift others, and who never hesitated to offer a hand, a laugh, or a listening ear. He loved his community, loved his people, and loved living life with meaning—even in the simplest ways.

His loss has created a void that cannot be filled, a pain that sits heavily in the hearts of those who shared his life. Yet in the midst of grief, there is gratitude—gratitude for every moment with him, every memory made, and every bit of love he gave freely.

A Community in Mourning, Seeking Justice
