In Loving Memory of Darren Snyder Forever Remembered
With sorrow we acknowledge the sudden passing of Darren Snyder, age 52, of Monessen, whose life came to an unexpected end early Saturday morning in Rostraver Township, Westmoreland County. According to the Westmoreland County Coroner, Darren died from injuries sustained after he was struck by a vehicle along the 840 block of Rostraver Road shortly after 7 a.m. His death has been ruled accidental.
In the aftermath, Rostraver police temporarily closed the roadway between Finley Road and Pricedale Road to allow investigators and accident reconstruction crews to work. The road later reopened around 9 a.m., and an investigation into the circumstances remains ongoing.
Yet beyond the facts of the incident, there is the reality of a life now gone — a man known by family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, and all who crossed paths with him in Monessen and beyond. Darren was more than the details of the morning that ended his life; he was a person with history, relationships, habits, hopes, humor, and humanity. Someone laughed with him. Someone waited for him. Someone loved him.
His passing leaves a space that cannot be filled in the lives of those who knew him best.
