It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Daniel Lee Wade Burns, a 23-year-old from New Albany, Indiana, who tragically lost his life in a single-vehicle crash on Tuesday evening, October 7, 2025, in Clarksville. His sudden and heartbreaking passing has left family, friends, and the local community mourning the loss of a young man remembered for his kind heart, vibrant energy, and genuine spirit.
According to the Indiana State Police, the fatal accident occurred around 8:22 p.m. on Brown Station Way near Lewis and Clark Parkway. A preliminary investigation revealed that Daniel was traveling westbound in the right lane when his vehicle drifted across the fog line on the north side of the road. After striking a raised curb, his car continued along the curb before veering off the roadway and colliding head-on with a concrete culvert in a nearby ditch. Despite the immediate response from first responders, Daniel was tragically pronounced deceased at the scene.
Daniel’s passing has left a void in the hearts of all who knew him. Friends and family describe him as loyal, compassionate, and full of life — someone who could bring laughter into any room and make others feel valued through his warmth and sincerity.
