On November 15, 2025, tragedy struck on Augusta Road near Matrix Parkway—a moment that forever changed the lives of several families and left an entire community grieving. What began as an ordinary day turned into a heartbreaking loss when a multi-vehicle collision claimed the life of 7-year-old Caius Blakely, a beloved child from Woodruff, South Carolina. Though five others were injured in the crash, it was young Caius whose injuries proved too severe. He was transported from the scene by Emergency Medical Services and later passed away at 4:19 p.m. at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Emergency Department.
Today, we remember Caius not for the tragedy that took him from this world, but for the joy, innocence, and love he brought into it. Even at the young age of seven, Caius had already touched many hearts. His laughter was infectious—one of those bright, bubbling laughs that could fill a room and lift spirits instantly.
