According to ALEA, Special Agents with the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) began a homicide investigation at the request of the Forkland Police Department after officers were called to the Dollar General near the 13000 Block of US-43 in Forkland. Upon arrival, they found Boris suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of first responders, he was tragically pronounced deceased at the scene.
Authorities later identified Jamal Lee, 28, of Demopolis, as the suspect in the case. Lee has been charged with murder and is currently being held in the Greene County Jail, with additional charges pending as the investigation continues. The case will be turned over to the Greene County District Attorney’s Office upon completion of the investigation.
