In Loving Memory of Ben Norman McCullough 11th July 2025 — Antrim, Northern Ireland
It is with heavy hearts and unimaginable sorrow that the McCullough family announces the sudden and heartbreaking passing of Ben Norman McCullough, who left this world far too soon on the 11th of July 2025 at his home.
Ben was the beloved son of Norman (fondly known as “Porky”) and Deborah McCullough, a son who brought light, laughter, and love into the lives of all who knew him. From the very beginning, Ben had a spark — a mischievous grin, a warm heart, and a spirit that could not be dimmed. He was a boy who grew into a man loved fiercely by his family and cherished by countless friends.
Ben was a deeply loved brother to Jemma, Ashley, Matthew, Chloe, Saul, and Sonny. Together, they shared a bond that could never be broken — one filled with memories of childhood adventures, inside jokes, late-night chats, and unconditional support. Each sibling carries a piece of Ben with them: his kindness, his quick wit, and his unwavering loyalty.
He was also a devoted uncle to Ellie and Hallie, who adored him beyond measure. Uncle Ben was their hero — always full of fun, mischief, and love. Whether he was playing games, telling stories, or simply being there with a comforting presence, he made their world brighter.
Ben was someone who touched lives effortlessly. His nature was gentle, his laughter infectious, and his heart vast. He was known not only for his love for his family but also for his sincerity, his fierce loyalty to those he cared about, and the rare ability to make anyone feel at home in his presence. He had a way of noticing when someone was hurting — and doing something about it, often without needing to be asked.
His sudden passing has left an unimaginable void in the hearts of those who knew him. Words cannot express the depth of the pain felt by his family, friends, and community. But even through the tears and heartache, the memories of Ben bring warmth — his cheeky smile, his gentle heart, and the love he gave so freely.
A celebration of Ben’s life will be held at Bairds Funeral Home, Antrim, on Thursday, 17th July 2025 at 1pm, followed by burial at Sixmile Cemetery. Family, friends, and all who knew and loved Ben are invited to attend — to honour his life, to mourn together, and to celebrate the incredible person he was.
Though his time on earth was far too short, Ben’s impact was immeasurable. His love remains etched into the hearts of those he leaves behind — a reminder that even the brightest stars sometimes burn only briefly, but their light lingers long after they’re gone.
Rest easy, Ben. You will be loved forever, missed beyond words, and remembered always.
