In Loving Memory of Adrian Gilmore

The Shoreham-Wading River Central School District mourns the passing of Adrian Gilmore, a cherished member of our educational community. Ms. Gilmore’s dedication as a sixth-grade teacher at Albert G. Prodell Middle School and as the head coach of the girls’ varsity soccer team left an indelible mark on students, athletes, and colleagues alike.
A Legacy of Excellence in Education and Athletics
Adrian’s commitment to fostering both academic and athletic excellence was evident throughout her tenure. Under her leadership, the girls’ varsity soccer team achieved unprecedented success, culminating in the program’s first New York State championship in 2019. Her exceptional coaching earned her the title of 2019 Regional High School Coach of the Year for the Fall East Region by United Soccer Coaches.
Beyond the accolades, Adrian was known for her unwavering support of her students and athletes. Her ability to inspire and motivate was matched only by her genuine care and compassion. She believed in the potential of every student, encouraging them to strive for greatness both on and off the field.

In honor of Adrian Gilmore, the Shoreham-Wading River Central School District will be establishing a memorial scholarship to support students who exemplify her values of leadership, perseverance, and community service.
