HOPEWELL, Va. — Authorities in Hopewell have arrested a man in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on Friday, September 5, 2025. Travis Lamont Coleman, 34, was found with gunshot wounds in the city, and despite efforts by first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect, 42-year-old Johnnie Terrell McGhee, was taken into custody following an investigation by the Hopewell Police Department in coordination with the Virginia State Police.
