Henry departed in early April 2025, leaving behind a legacy of innovation, dedication, and kindness that touched the lives of many.

Early Life and Education

Henry’s passion for mechanics and design was evident early on. He pursued this interest at Clarkson University, where he studied Mechanical Engineering and Business Management from 2006 to 2010. During his time there, Henry was actively involved in various campus organizations, including the Entrepreneur Club, Sports Car Club, and the Men’s Club Ice Hockey and Lacrosse teams, reflecting his dynamic spirit and commitment to teamwork.

Professional Career

Henry’s professional journey was marked by precision and innovation. From 2013 to 2015, he served as a Design Engineer at Kahr Arms / Auto-Ordnance, where he specialized in 3D modeling, CNC programming, and prototype development. His expertise in optimizing production processes and reducing machining costs earned him respect among his peers. Henry’s hands-on skills encompassed technical drawing, fixture design, CNC troubleshooting, and manual machining.

Prior to his tenure at Kahr Arms, Henry worked as a Warehouse Supervisor at Vega Distributors in Worcester, Massachusetts. In this role, he maintained an organized warehouse and ensured timely deliveries, demonstrating his unwavering commitment and diligence.

Personal Life and Community Involvement

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Henry was known for his generosity, humor, and ability to make others feel valued. He was a loving husband, devoted father, supportive brother, and loyal friend. Henry’s father, Philip Steenstra, who passed away in 2016, was also a respected member of the West Boylston community.

Henry’s brother, Steven W. Steenstra, expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support from the community, stating:

“My family would like to thank everyone for the unbelievable support we have received. We are proud to call all of you family. Henry touched all of our lives in such a special way that could never be forgotten.”

A celebration of Henry’s life is scheduled for Saturday, April 12. Calling hours will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the Old Stone Church in West Boylston, followed by a gathering at a nearby restaurant, with the venue to be announced.
