Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) are investigating a heartbreaking pedestrian collision that claimed the life of 16-year-old James Evert Anderson, a resident of Kensington. The tragic crash occurred on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at approximately 9:14 p.m., in the area of University Boulevard West and St. Paul Street.
According to police, officers from the 2nd District, along with Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel, were dispatched after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting a pedestrian being struck. Upon arrival, emergency responders located Anderson in the roadway with severe, life-threatening injuries.
