Frisco Police Investigating Fatal Stabbing at High School Track Meet, Suspect in Custody
FRISCO, TX – A tragic incident unfolded Wednesday morning at a high school track meet in Frisco, Texas, leaving a 16-year-old student dead and a 17-year-old in police custody, charged with Murder, a 1st Degree Felony.

On April 2, 2025, around 10:00 a.m., the Frisco Police Department and Frisco Fire Department responded to a call at a track meet in the 6900 block of Stadium Lane. What started as a seemingly routine athletic event took a devastating turn when an altercation between two students escalated into a fatal stabbing.
According to authorities, Karmelo Anthony, 17, allegedly attacked the 16-year-old victim during an argument. The suspect produced a knife and stabbed the younger student before fleeing the immediate scene. Emergency responders rushed to save the victim’s life, administering CPR and emergency blood transfusions, but their efforts were in vain. The victim succumbed to their injuries shortly after the attack.
