Born Jakim Maulana in Seattle, Washington, Knight began his stand-up career at a young age, performing in local clubs before gaining national attention. His charisma and incisive humor quickly earned him writing roles on acclaimed shows like Big Mouth and Black-ish. He became a creative force both behind the scenes and in front of the camera. 

Knight co-created and starred in Peacock’s critically acclaimed series Bust Down, where his performance was praised for its raw energy and biting honesty. The show tackled complex topics with humor, reflecting Knight’s unique ability to bring levity to the intricacies of everyday life.
