Community Mourns the Loss of 17-Year-Old Victor Ramirez Jr. Following Early Morning Shooting in Charlotte

Charlotte, NC — The Charlotte community is reeling after the tragic death of 17-year-old Victor Ramirez Jr., who was fatally shot early Sunday morning, May 18, 2025, in a parking lot on Winding Path Way, just outside uptown Charlotte.

Incident Details

According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD), officers responded to reports of gunfire around 3:00 a.m. in the 100 block of Winding Path Way. Upon arrival, they discovered Ramirez Jr. suffering from gunshot wounds in the parking lot. Despite emergency responders’ efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Ongoing Investigation

Detective Hauslee has been assigned as the lead investigator in this case. As of now, no arrests have been made, and authorities have not released information regarding potential suspects or motives. CMPD is urging anyone with information to come forward.
