CHILD PORNOGRAPHY ARREST MADE IN VACAVILLE, CALIFORNIA

Solano County, CA — On March 6, 2025, the Solano County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Bureau, in collaboration with the Solano County Sheriff’s Enforcement Team (SET), California Highway Patrol (CHP) Computer Crimes Unit, and detectives from the Vacaville Police Department, executed a search warrant at a residence located in the 7000 block of Paddon Road in Vacaville. This operation was the result of an investigation prompted by a tip regarding the alleged downloading and distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) at the residence.

During the execution of the warrant, multiple electronic devices, including cell phones and computers, were seized from the home. The forensic analysis of these devices was conducted to retrieve digital evidence and to assess the extent of the criminal activity. Based on the findings of this analysis, a detailed case file was submitted to the Solano County District Attorney’s Office, which led to the issuance of an arrest warrant.

On April 3, 2025, the Solano County Sheriff’s SWAT Team, alongside the Investigations Bureau and SET Team, served the arrest warrant at the same location on Paddon Road. The suspect, identified as Edgar “Cataleya” Aguirre, 27, of Vacaville, was taken into custody without incident.

Aguirre was booked into the Solano County Jail and is facing 11 felony counts under Penal Code 311.1(a) for the distribution of child pornography and one count under Penal Code 311.11(a) for the possession of child pornography. These charges represent some of the most serious offenses against children under California law.

In a public statement, the Solano County Sheriff’s Office emphasized its firm commitment to safeguarding the community and protecting its most vulnerable members—children.

“This arrest is a testament to the dedicated work of our investigators and partner agencies,” the Sheriff’s Office said. “We are sending a clear message: if you exploit children, we will find you, and we will hold you accountable. The safety of our community is our top priority, and we will continue to pursue justice for victims of these heinous crimes.”

The Sheriff’s Office also took the opportunity to remind the public that the possession, distribution, or production of CSAM is a grave crime with far-reaching consequences for victims. They strongly encourage anyone with information related to this case—or similar criminal activity involving the exploitation of minors—to contact their anonymous tip line at 707-784-7050.

This investigation is ongoing, and authorities have stated that additional details may be released as the case progresses, in accordance with legal and procedural guidelines. The Solano County Sheriff’s Office, alongside its law enforcement partners, continues to urge vigilance, cooperation, and community awareness in the fight against crimes that target children.

If you or someone you know suspects the distribution or possession of CSAM, please report it immediately. Together, we can protect our children and bring offenders to justice.
