Bradley J. Goggins Dies in Head-On Collision Near Jemison; Community Mourns Beloved Local

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the tragic loss of Bradley J. Goggins, 34, of Calera, Alabama. Bradley bravely passed away on June 28, 2025, after suffering fatal injuries in a head-on collision near mile marker 237 on U.S. Highway 31, approximately two miles north of Jemison in Chilton County.

On Saturday afternoon at around 2:05 p.m., Bradley was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado. The vehicle collided head-on with a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 38-year-old Zackary S. Moore of Thorsby. Both drivers were not wearing seat belts. Tragically, Bradley was pronounced dead at the scene, while Moore was rushed to the UAB Hospital for treatment. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division is investigating the crash.
