Triplett of Clarksdale, Mississippi, was struck by a northbound 2018 Dodge Charger driven by 22-year-old De’Anthony Brown of Alligator, Mississippi. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene and transported Triplett to a nearby hospital, but despite efforts to save his life, he was later pronounced deceased. Officials reported that Brown, the driver of the vehicle, was uninjured in the crash and remained at the scene to cooperate with authorities.
