Birmingham Teen Identified as Victim in Huffman Road Shooting
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — What initially appeared to be a routine traffic crash on Huffman Road quickly unfolded into something far more tragic when authorities discovered that a teenager had been shot.
On the afternoon of Sunday, August 24, 2025, 16-year-old George Camarius Daniel, affectionately known to friends and family as “Luhh George,” was found unresponsive outside a vehicle near an apartment complex. Despite the rapid arrival of Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service around 4:30 p.m., George was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
A second teenager was also injured during the shooting. Authorities confirmed that he sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was rushed to UAB Hospital for treatment.
According to investigators, several people had gathered in the area before gunfire erupted, though the motive behind the shooting remains under investigation.
