In Loving Memory of Scott Mort
We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our dear friend and fellow towman, Scott Mort of Mort’s Towing and Salvage. Scott wasn’t just a name in the towing industry—he was a cornerstone in our community, a man of integrity, and someone whose presence left a mark on everyone he met.
For many of us, Scott was more than a colleague—he was family. A loyal friend, a helping hand, and a steady soul in moments when things felt chaotic, whether out on the road or in life. He had that rare quality that made people feel seen, heard, and supported. His calm demeanor, genuine heart, and unmatched work ethic defined who he was—not just as a professional, but as a person.
Through years of shared calls, long nights, roadside rescues, and countless conversations, we came to know a man who carried a quiet strength and deep compassion. His dedication to his craft was admirable, and his pride in what he built with Mort’s Towing and Salvage was evident in every job he took on. More than that, Scott lived a life of service—always ready to lend a hand, give advice, or share a laugh in the toughest of times.
We feel this loss deeply. Our community has lost one of its finest, and the void Scott leaves behind is immense. To his family, especially his beloved son Chandler, please know that you are surrounded by a network of people who care and grieve with you. We understand all too well the pain of this moment—the disbelief, the heartache, the memories that flood in and the silence that follows. You are not alone.
Scott’s legacy will live on in the stories we share, in the roadside safety he championed, in the kindness he offered without hesitation, and in the countless lives he touched. He gave this profession heart and humanity, and he will never be forgotten.
Rest in peace, Scott.
You will be dearly missed, always remembered, and forever respected.
