Homicide Investigation: Toni-Lynn Marie Trabb Found Dead at Best Western in Port St. Lucie
On March 24, 2025, at approximately 11:05 a.m., cleaning staff at the Best Western hotel located in the 7900 block of South U.S. 1 in Port St. Lucie, Florida, discovered 58-year-old Toni-Lynn Marie Trabb unresponsive on the floor of a second-floor room.
Maintenance personnel attempted to assist, but upon finding no pulse, they promptly contacted 911. St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Deputies and Fire Rescue arrived simultaneously at approximately 11:14 a.m., and shortly thereafter, Trabb was pronounced deceased by Fire Rescue officials.
Given the suspicious nature of the death, the Criminal Investigations Division and Crime Scene Investigators were called to the scene. The 19th Judicial Circuit Medical Examiner’s Office was notified and arrived around 3:00 p.m.. Following a thorough examination, the death was officially ruled a homicide at approximately 4:19 p.m.
Investigators revealed that shortly after 5:30 p.m. on March 23, 2025, a man rented the room using a woman’s credit card. While the relationship between this individual and Trabb remains unclear, authorities have identified a person of interest in the case. As of now, no arrests have been made, and the individual is not in custody.
Sheriff Richard R. Del Toro Jr. emphasized the commitment of law enforcement to resolving this case, stating, “We will not tolerate violence in our community. This tragic loss is a heartbreaking reminder of the senseless violence that devastates families. We are fully committed to bringing those responsible to justice and ensuring the victim’s family receives the support and closure they deserve.”
The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office continues to actively investigate this homicide. They urge anyone with information related to the case to come forward, emphasizing the importance of community assistance in bringing those responsible to justice.
