Hickory Tavern Mourns the Heartbreaking Loss of 20-Year-Old Braydon Parker McAlister in Tragic Car Accident
HICKORY TAVERN, SC — A deep sorrow has settled over the quiet community of Hickory Tavern following the sudden and tragic death of Braydon Parker McAlister, a 20-year-old local resident who was killed in a fatal car accident late Wednesday night, April 30, 2025. The crash occurred along Whelon Road near Cherry Hill Road in Laurens County, not far from Highway 14, claiming the life of a young man remembered for his warmth, his determination, and the joy he brought to those around him.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident happened shortly before midnight. While full details are still under investigation, early reports indicate that McAlister’s vehicle veered off the roadway and struck a tree. Emergency responders arrived swiftly, but despite their efforts, Braydon was pronounced dead at the scene.
