It is with profound sorrow that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Tyler Davis Solomon on April 22, 2025, at the age of 23. A promising young man and dedicated community advocate, Tyler’s untimely departure has left an indelible void in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A Life of Purpose and Compassion

Born on June 24, 2001, Tyler was the beloved son of Elana (née Stecki) and Edward Solomon, and the cherished brother of Maya Solomon. He was a devoted grandson to Marion McMahon and Jack Stecki (and the late Marcia Stecki), a loving nephew to Victoria Solomon, and a treasured cousin to Chase and Carly. Tyler’s family was the cornerstone of his life, and he brought immeasurable joy and warmth to their lives.

A student at Drexel University, Tyler was known for his intellectual curiosity and commitment to making a difference. His academic pursuits were matched by his unwavering dedication to community service, particularly through his involvement with the National Love Team (NLT), a nonprofit organization led by Michael “OG Law” Ta’bon. Over the past three years, Tyler volunteered tirelessly with NLT, contributing to various initiatives aimed at uplifting underserved communities. His efforts were recently recognized at a community dinner honoring his service. Just a week before his passing, Tyler was actively engaged in cleaning a local playground, exemplifying his hands-on approach to community betterment.

Tyler’s sudden departure has been met with an outpouring of grief and tributes from those who knew him. Michael “OG Law” Ta’bon, founder of the National Love Team, expressed his deep sorrow over the loss of a dear friend and dedicated volunteer. Honoring Tyler’s Memory

Funeral services for Tyler Davis Solomon will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 1:00 PM Eastern Time at Goldsteins’ Rosenberg’s Funeral Directors, Inc., located at 6410 N. Broad St., Philadelphia, PA. Interment will be private. Shiva will be observed at Tyler’s residence starting at 4:00 PM on Friday and will resume after Shabbat on Saturday night and continue all day Sunday.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the National Love Team in Tyler’s memory. Contributions can be directed through the following GoFundMe. These donations will continue Tyler’s mission of community service and upliftment.
