It is with profound sorrow and deep love that we announce the passing of Jonathan Drew Goodson, who departed this world far too soon on April 18, 2025, at the age of 35. A native and lifelong resident of Enterprise, Alabama, Jonathan leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and unwavering love that will remain etched in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him.
Jonathan was more than a son, brother, or friend — he was a bright light in the lives of many. With a smile that could lift spirits and a heart that was open to all, he touched people from all walks of life. His ability to make others feel seen, heard, and valued was a rare gift, and one he shared freely and often.
Whether cheering on the Crimson Tide, enjoying the outdoors, or simply spending time with his loved ones, Jonathan lived each day with intention and joy. His passions were rooted in the people he loved and the community he called home. He was the kind of person who remembered birthdays, offered a helping hand without being asked, and never let a conversation end without a laugh or a warm word.
Those who knew Jonathan speak of his deep loyalty, quick wit, and the sincere compassion that defined his every interaction. He could bring calm in times of chaos and hope when it was needed most. As we gather to honor his memory, we reflect on a life lived fully, if not long enough. The visitation will be held on Monday, April 21st, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and the funeral service will follow on Tuesday, April 22nd, at 2:00 PM, both taking place in Enterprise, Alabama. Friends, family, and all whose lives were touched by Jonathan are invited to attend and pay tribute to a life that meant so much to so many.
Though his physical presence is no longer with us, Jonathan’s spirit remains a guiding light. In every act of kindness, in every burst of laughter, and in every moment shared among those he loved, his memory will live on. It is said that the most beautiful souls are those who inspire others to live more fully — and Jonathan was certainly one of them.
