Garland, TX — One Dead, Three Injured in Tragic Shooting; Police Search for Suspect
A wave of heartbreak and outrage has gripped the Garland community following a devastating shooting that occurred on the evening of April 18, 2025. Garland Police are urgently searching for the suspect responsible for the violence that left one teenager dead and three others—ranging in age from a toddler to an adult—seriously injured.
The incident unfolded around 6:30 p.m. in the 3800 block of West Walnut Street, a typically quiet residential area. Responding officers arrived at the scene to a chaotic and tragic scene: multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds, including a 3-year-old child, a 15-year-old teenager, a 19-year-old, and a 42-year-old adult. Emergency responders quickly transported all four to nearby hospitals.
Tragically, the 15-year-old later succumbed to their injuries. The names of all victims are currently being withheld due to the sensitive nature of the investigation and out of respect for the families during this difficult time.
